Mar Marcotte has been creating handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, gold fill and nu-gold (considered a jewelers’ brass, an alloy that contains a bit more copper than brass, thus giving it a rosy, warm color, closer to that of 14k gold) jewelry in her California studio since 1968.  Herfine handcrafted jewelry is unique in its design and finish, which is defined by its Asian-inspired contemporary design, mix of metals and freshwater pearl jewelry and matt, brushed texture. The work is represented in craft galleries, museum shops and boutiques throughout the U.S. and abroad. In 2007, Mar Marcotte received the prestigious Niche Award (fine crafts) for outstanding design.

These pieces have a lacquer finish that inhibits tarnish. Each piece comes with an artist’s bio card and care instructions.
